Community Guidelines
Overview
Quidlr maintains a comprehensive set of Community Guidelines that define the types of content prohibited on our platform. These guidelines apply universally to all content formats, including uploaded notes, comments, and links. They are an essential component of our platform.
We enforce our Community Guidelines using both human reviewers and machine learning technologies. These guidelines are applied uniformly to all users, irrespective of their subject matter, background, political viewpoints, positions, or affiliations.
Our Community Guidelines covers the following:
1. Misleading and Fraudulent Activities
Artificial Interaction
Artificial interaction refers to any actions taken to falsely boost engagement metrics like reads, likes, comments, or follows on Quidlr. For example, using a service to generate fake reads on your notes constitutes artificial interaction. This practice undermines the platform's integrity and misleads other users about content popularity. If a user engages in such activities, they will receive a warning. Continued violations will result in account suspension or termination. We aim to foster a genuine and trustworthy community where engagement reflects real user interest.
Identity Misrepresentation
Identity misrepresentation involves pretending to be someone else or using false information to deceive others. This includes creating fake profiles using another person's name or image or claiming to be a public figure. Such actions can cause confusion, harm reputations, and undermine trust within the community. If a user is caught misrepresenting their identity, their account may be immediately suspended, and upon further review, it may be permanently terminated. We prioritize authenticity and encourage users to be truthful about their identities.
Outbound Links
Outbound links in content must lead to safe, relevant, and legitimate sites. Links that promote services to artificially inflate metrics, lead to harmful or deceptive sites, or engage in fraudulent activities are prohibited. For example, linking to a site that sells fake followers or views is not allowed. Content with inappropriate links will be removed, and the user will be notified. Repeated violations may lead to account restrictions. We want to ensure that all links shared on Quidlr contribute positively to the user experience.
Fraudulent Activities and Schemes
Fraudulent activities and schemes involve any content designed to deceive, defraud, or mislead users for personal or financial gain. This includes scams like Ponzi schemes, phishing attempts, and fake giveaways. Such content undermines the safety and trust of the community. If users engage in fraudulent activities, their content will be removed, and they will receive a warning. Severe or repeated offenses will result in account termination. We strive to maintain a secure environment where users can interact without fear of being deceived.
Additional Regulations
Quidlr reserves the right to enforce additional regulations to maintain a fair and honest community. As new threats or trends emerge, we may introduce new guidelines to address them. Users will be notified of any new regulations and are expected to comply to avoid penalties. This ensures that our platform adapts to changing circumstances while upholding its standards of integrity and fairness.
2. Sensitive Material
Child Protection
Content involving minors must adhere to strict guidelines to ensure their safety and privacy. Any content that exploits, endangers, or harms children is prohibited and will be reported to relevant authorities. This includes sharing personal information about minors, exploiting children for views, or depicting them in inappropriate situations. We take child protection very seriously, and any violations will lead to immediate content removal and reporting to authorities. Accounts involved in such activities will be suspended or terminated to ensure the safety of all users.
Sexual and Nudity Content
Explicit sexual content and nudity are not allowed on Quidlr. This includes any material that is sexually suggestive, pornographic, or inappropriate for a general audience. Sharing such content can make others uncomfortable and is not suitable for our community. Examples include pornographic images or videos, explicit drawings, or detailed descriptions of sexual acts. Violations of this policy will result in the immediate removal of content and a warning to the user. Repeated violations will lead to account termination. We aim to maintain a respectful and safe environment for all users.
Self-Harm and Suicide
Content that promotes, glorifies, or encourages self-harm or suicide is strictly forbidden. This includes sharing methods of self-harm, encouraging others to harm themselves, or glorifying such actions. Quidlr aims to provide a supportive environment, and content that could harm users' mental health will be removed immediately. Users posting such content will receive a warning, and repeated violations will lead to account termination. We encourage users to seek help and support if they are struggling with mental health issues and provide resources for those in need.
Profane Language
The use of excessive profanity or offensive language is discouraged. Content should be respectful and suitable for a diverse audience. While occasional mild profanity may be acceptable, constant use of swear words or offensive language can create a hostile environment. Examples include using derogatory terms, hate speech, or vulgar language in posts and comments. Content with excessive profanity will be flagged, and the user will be warned. Persistent use of profane language will lead to account restrictions to ensure a respectful community atmosphere.
3. Content Safety
Harassment and Cyberbullying
Quidlr does not tolerate harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse. Users should interact respectfully and refrain from any behavior that intimidates, threatens, or bullies others. Harassment includes sending threatening messages, publicly shaming someone, or persistent negative comments. Such behavior creates a hostile environment and is not acceptable. Content involving harassment will be removed, and the user will receive a warning. Continued harassment will lead to account suspension or termination. We are committed to ensuring that Quidlr is a safe and welcoming space for all users.
Harmful or Risky Material
Content that promotes dangerous activities or poses a risk to users' safety is not allowed. This includes instructions on self-harm, dangerous challenges, or any activity that could result in injury. Examples include videos encouraging risky stunts, DIY weapons, or sharing methods of self-harm. Such content will be removed immediately, and the user will be warned. Repeat offenses will result in account termination. Our goal is to protect users from harm and promote responsible behavior within the community.
Hate Speech
Content that promotes hate or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics is prohibited. This includes racist slurs, homophobic comments, or any content inciting violence against specific groups. Hate speech creates a hostile environment and is not tolerated. Offending content will be removed, and the user will be warned. Repeated violations will lead to account termination. We strive to foster an inclusive and respectful community for everyone.
Violent Groups
Content supporting violent groups or organizations is not allowed. This includes any material that glorifies or incites violence or promotes membership in such groups. Examples include promotional material for terrorist organizations, recruitment posts for violent groups, or any content encouraging violent actions. Such content will be removed immediately, and the user's account will be terminated. We are committed to preventing the spread of violence and promoting peace within our community.
Graphic Content
Quidlr prohibits graphic content that is excessively violent, gory, or shocking. This includes videos or images of violence, graphic accident scenes, or any content intended to shock or disturb viewers. Such content is not appropriate for the platform and will be removed. Users posting graphic content will receive a warning, and continued violations will lead to account suspension. Our aim is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all users.
4. Regulated Items
Firearms
Content promoting the sale, use, or distribution of firearms is prohibited. This includes any instructional material on making or modifying firearms. Examples include posts selling guns, tutorials on assembling firearms, or promoting the use of firearms. Such content will be removed, and the user will be warned. Repeated offenses will lead to account termination. We aim to prevent the spread of potentially dangerous information and maintain a safe community.
Illegal or Controlled Goods or Services
Quidlr does not allow content that promotes the sale or distribution of illegal or controlled goods or services. This includes drugs, counterfeit products, and other regulated items. Examples include advertisements for illegal drugs, fake ID sales, or promoting the sale of counterfeit goods. Offending content will be removed, and the user will be warned. Continued violations will result in account termination. We strive to keep the platform free from illegal activities and ensure the safety of our users.
5. Information Accuracy
False Information
Users must not share false or misleading information. Content should be factually accurate and verifiable to maintain the platform's credibility. Examples include spreading fake news, making misleading claims, or sharing unverified information. Content found to be false will be flagged, and the user will be warned. Repeated sharing of false information will lead to account restrictions. We encourage users to verify their sources and share accurate information to maintain a trustworthy community.
Political Misinformation
Content that spreads false information about political processes, candidates, or election outcomes is prohibited. This includes fake election results, false political endorsements, or misleading political information. Quidlr aims to support informed and fair discourse. Offending content will be removed, and the user will be warned. Repeated offenses will lead to account termination. We aim to ensure that political discussions on our platform are based on accurate and reliable information.
Medical Misinformation
Content that promotes false or misleading information about medical treatments, health conditions, or public health policies is not allowed. This includes fake cures, anti-vaccine propaganda, or misleading health advice. Users should rely on credible sources for medical information. Content found to be misleading will be removed, and the user will be warned. Continued posting of medical misinformation will result in account termination. Our goal is to ensure that health-related information on Quidlr is accurate and trustworthy.
Actions for Content Violating Community Guidelines:
Detection and Initial Review:
At Quidlr, we use algorithms to automatically detect and remove spam and unauthorized re-uploads of content that violates our guidelines. Our systems are continuously trained to ensure efficient detection and handling of such violations. Human reviewers, trained to assess content against our Community Guidelines, also play a crucial role. They carefully review flagged content to determine if it breaches our standards. Content that serves education is protected, while content that violates guidelines is promptly removed. This helps maintain a safe and credible environment for all users.
Community Guidelines Strikes:
When content is found to violate our guidelines, we take action by removing it and notifying the uploader. For first-time violations, we issue a warning with no immediate penalty to the account. Subsequent violations result in a Community Guidelines strike. Upon receiving a strike, the account may face temporary restrictions, such as the inability to upload new content for a specified period. If an account accumulates three strikes within a 60 days, it may be subject to termination. In cases involving severe violations or repeated offenses, immediate termination of the account may occur without prior strikes.
Users have the option to appeal strikes and terminations by submitting DMCA Counter Notice if they believe an error has occurred. We will conduct a thorough review to reconsider the decision.
